How do I schedule plumbing service?

You can schedule plumbing service by calling (239) 210-8499 or using our online scheduling option. For urgent plumbing issues, calling is the fastest way to reach us.

Do you provide free estimates?

We are currently offering free in-home estimates for many plumbing services through August 31. After August 31, we will return to our standard service visit fee for in-home plumbing appointments.

The service visit fee helps cover the time and coordination involved in providing professional service — from answering your call, gathering information, scheduling, and dispatching, to the plumber traveling to the home and evaluating the issue in person.

Our goal is to see the issue, explain your options clearly, and provide honest recommendations before work begins.

Do you give prices over the phone?

We usually do not give exact plumbing prices over the phone because every home and plumbing issue can be different. Access, parts, shutoff valves, pipe condition, and the cause of the problem can all affect the final recommendation.

Our goal is to see the issue, explain your options clearly, and provide honest recommendations before work begins.

Do you provide emergency plumbing service?

Yes, we provide responsive emergency plumbing service based on availability. Emergency availability may vary depending on scheduling, location, and current service calls.

If you have an active leak, sewer backup, overflowing toilet, or urgent plumbing issue, calling is the fastest way to reach us.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

A plumbing emergency is usually any issue that is active, causing damage, creating unsafe conditions, or preventing you from using essential plumbing.

Common plumbing emergencies include water leaks, sewer backups, overflowing toilets, multiple clogged drains, burst or broken pipes, water heater leaks, and plumbing problems causing water damage.

What should I do if I have a water leak?

If you have an active water leak, shut off the water supply if you can safely do so. For toilets, sinks, and some fixtures, there may be a local shutoff valve nearby. For larger leaks, you may need to shut off water to the home.

After the water is shut off, call a plumber to inspect the issue and discuss repair options.

Do you repair leaks?

Yes, we repair many visible plumbing leaks, including fixture leaks, toilet leaks, pipe leaks, water heater leaks, and main water line issues.

We do not provide slab leak detection or specialized leak detection services. If the source of the leak is hidden and needs locating, a leak detection company may be needed first. Once the leak is located, we may be able to help with repair options.

Do you offer leak detection?

No, we do not advertise as a leak detection company. We help with visible plumbing leaks and plumbing repairs, but slab leak detection or hidden leak locating may require a specialized leak detection company.

Do you repair toilets?

Yes, we help with many toilet issues, including running toilets, leaking toilets, clogged toilets, loose toilets, toilet replacements, fill valves, flappers, supply lines, angle stops, and other common toilet repairs.

Do you install or repair faucets?

Yes, we repair and install many residential plumbing fixtures, including faucets, sinks, toilets, garbage disposals, shower valves, angle stops, supply lines, and related fixture components.

Do you repair garbage disposals?

Yes, we can inspect garbage disposal issues and explain whether repair or replacement makes the most sense. If a disposal is jammed, leaking, not turning on, or making unusual sounds, we can help determine the next step.

Do you provide drain cleaning?

Yes, we provide drain service for clogged, slow, or backed-up drains. Many homeowners call it drain cleaning, but the right solution depends on what is happening inside the pipe.

Snaking is commonly used to clear a blockage and restore flow. Hydro jetting is a deeper drain cleaning method that uses high-pressure water to clean grease, sludge, soap buildup, debris, and buildup from inside the pipe.

What is the difference between snaking and hydro jetting?

Snaking clears the blockage. Hydro jetting cleans the pipe.

A drain snake or auger is used to break through or remove a clog so water can flow again. Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to clean buildup from the inside walls of the pipe. Both have their place, and we recommend what makes sense for your home.

When is hydro jetting recommended?

Hydro jetting may be recommended for recurring clogs, grease buildup, sludge, soap buildup, slow main lines, or drains that keep backing up after being snaked.

Hydro jetting is not always necessary, and it may not be the right option for every pipe. We evaluate the situation first and explain your options clearly.

Can a clogged drain be a sewer line problem?

Yes. If only one sink, shower, tub, or toilet is clogged, it may be a local fixture clog. If multiple drains are backing up at the same time, toilets are gurgling, or water is backing up into a shower or tub, the issue may be in the main sewer line.

In some cases, a sewer camera inspection may be recommended to better understand what is happening underground.

Do you offer sewer camera inspections?

Yes, we provide sewer camera inspections when appropriate. A sewer camera inspection can help identify issues such as blockages, roots, breaks, bellies, buildup, or other problems inside the sewer line.

Do you repair sewer lines?

Yes, we provide sewer line repair services. If your sewer line is backing up, damaged, holding water, affected by roots, or causing recurring plumbing problems, we can inspect the issue and discuss repair options.

Do you repair water heaters?

Yes, we provide residential water heater repair and installation services. If your water heater is leaking, not producing hot water, making unusual noises, or showing signs of failure, we can inspect it and explain your options.

Do you install water heaters?

Yes, we install residential water heaters. If replacement makes more sense than repair, we can discuss options and help you choose the right solution for your home.

Do you work on gas lines or gas plumbing?

No, we do not perform gas work. If your plumbing issue involves gas piping or gas line work, you will need a licensed professional who handles gas services.

Do you do new construction plumbing?

No, we do not provide new construction plumbing. Lerma Plumbing & Drains focuses on residential service plumbing, repairs, drain and sewer issues, water heaters, fixtures, and plumbing problems in existing homes.

Do you service businesses or only homes?

Our main focus is residential service plumbing for homeowners. If you have a commercial plumbing question, you can call us and we will let you know if it is something we can help with or if another provider would be a better fit.

What should I do if my toilet is overflowing?

Stop flushing the toilet and turn off the water supply valve near the base of the toilet if you can safely reach it. If the toilet continues to overflow, or if other drains are backing up, call a plumber as soon as possible.

What should I do if sewage is backing up into my shower or tub?

Stop using water in the home and avoid flushing toilets. Sewage backing up into a shower, tub, or floor drain may be a sign of a main sewer line blockage. Call for plumbing service right away.

What should I do if my water heater is leaking?

If your water heater is leaking, avoid ignoring it. Shut off the water supply to the unit if you can safely do so, and call a plumber. If there are electrical concerns or unsafe conditions, stay away from the area and contact the appropriate professional.
